What To Do If Your Pipes Freeze

We hope you never have to deal with frozen pipes. But if you do, here are some steps you can take to thaw and keep them from bursting.

1. Shut off the water supply. Once the water thaws, excess water may spill out from cracks in the pipe.

2. Keep the faucet open. As the water thaws, it will need somewhere to flow!

3. Use a space heater, lamp, or heat tape to thaw the frozen portion of the pipe. Do not us an open flame, however!

If you cannot thaw or start to have leaking/flooding issues, call Mr. Dan’s immediately!
